A walking stick is a comfortable and useful aid for walking in the woods or the urban jungle. It doubles as a rest for your fishing rod or binoculars and is a great way to deflect a subway door.

This project serves as an introduction to using hand tools such as spokeshave and drawknife. Also makes a nice gift.
